BrightSide's Story

The owner, Cambria, had started medical billing in 2015 as a second job and quickly discovered that she had a knack for it and actually enjoyed it!  She found it very rewarding to be able to assist the providers that were serving their community by providing safe places to heal.

 

After years of working for another billing company, Cambria branched out on her own and started BrightSide Administrative Services in 2020.  She realized fairly quickly that while she loved helping all of the providers, mental health held a special place in her heart and she decided to specialize in helping these providers.

 

We recognize the hard work that providers put into their client’s well-being and want to support that work by removing the stress from billing and insurance.    

What We Do

Medical Billing and Accounts Receivable

 

BrightSide offers full management of insurance claims and accounts receivable.  Our goal is to increase your profits while decreasing your stress levels through proven processes that remove the worry that comes with billing insurance.

 

We will train you and/or your staff on insurance benefit checks so you'll know what to collect up before the client shows up for their first appointment.  Claims are filed weekly, insurance payments are entered into your practice's EHR, denials are handled promptly and any patient balances are sent out via email or paper once the insurance payment has been entered.  Claims are also checked regularly to ensure that they are being processed or addressed within 45 days of being submitted.

We can also assist with a number of administrative tasks that will help to avoid denials and get you paid faster:

 

  • Demographic updates (change of name, address, etc)

  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) enrollments

  • Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) enrollments 

  • Education on benefit verifications, along with a verification template customized for your practice 

  • Backlog of claims and payments

  • EHR set up / transfers 

 

Our goal is to make sure insurance companies have your correct information and you receive your money and records faster (through EFT & ERA).  Understanding what questions to ask when checking a patient's benefits leads to less confusion and frustration on the part of the provider and patient when the EOB comes back.

Cambria has been involved in the holistic health care industry since 2000, both personally and professionally.  After working in the retail and corporate world for years, she took an opportunity as a medical biller and found it to be the perfect fit.  In 2020, she branched out to start BrightSide Admin and build her own name in the medical billing industry.  In her time away from work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and going on outdoor adventures in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. 

Christian Williams
Account Manager, Tech Support

Christian has a background in technology and servicing healthcare providers on multiple levels. He found that he enjoyed being in the healthcare industry and was thrilled to learn new skills in medical billing when the opportunity arose with BrightSide. In addition to being a part of the BrightSide team, he is the founder of Strive for Greatness TD and the former vice president of public relations for The Real Talk Toastmaster Club. He was born and raised in Washington state, which is where he makes his home.  When he's not behind the desk, he enjoys spending time with family, listening to and making music, video games, public speaking, photography, and cooking.
